    9 A.M. REGISTRATION | 10 A.M. WALK BEGINS
Broadwalk on the Boardwalk is a free, community celebration held in support of breast cancer survivors and those impacted by breast cancer. Created by Kathy Wiz in honor of her sister's courageous battle, this meaningful event now continues with the tenacious support of Karen Laitman. Proceeds from this fundraiser benefit the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, helping provide critical programs, education, and support services to individuals and families across Delaware.

Join us for a fun-filled kickoff party in the CAMP Rehoboth courtyard, featuring music by DJ Sue P, a 50/50 raffle, face painting, and festive pink boas available for a donation. At 10:00 AM, participants will step off from CAMP Reheboth and walk north along the boardwalk, coming together to form a heart on the beach- a powerful tradition symbolizing unity, remembrance, and hope.

In Support of Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition
The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition (DBCC) is a 501(c)(3) staffed by a combined number of 25 full-time and part-time employees and has an office serving citizens in each of the three counties in Delaware – New Castle, Kent, and Sussex.

DBCC has developed and implemented programs tailored to the unique needs of different populations, including young women with breast cancer, African-American women, Latinas, lesbians, and women with disabilities. DBCC has trained healthcare providers who implement culturally competent care and has conducted many educational sessions for the general public in partnership with corporate and community organizations.

In addition, DBCC has referred and navigated thousands of uninsured adults for free and low-cost cancer screenings and has removed barriers to cancer screenings and treatment by providing interpretation, transportation, and support services.

As a member of the National Breast Cancer Coalition, represented on its board of directors, DBCC has worked to support the national organization’s efforts to research the causes of breast cancer and pursue optimal treatments and cures.

The vision of the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition is to create a caring community where barriers to breast cancer screenings are removed and all persons at risk served by DBCC have access to quality care and treatment. DBCC will ensure each individual diagnosed receives resources to become a thriving survivor, armed with the knowledge and support needed to conquer this disease.
