A Message From Give Back Scholars4LIFE
Give Back is committed to help our students find meaningful and fulfilling careers that will provide them with the financial independence and stability to become productive adults. In addition to offering coaching and post-secondary advisement we are also committed to Giving Back to the community in various ways. This year for Give Back’s 20th Anniversary, Give Back Delaware and our Give Back Scholars are participating in the Breast Cancer Walk on October 21st, 2023 to donate to the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, for Give Back Gives Back. Give Back Gives Back is Give Back's community service initiative, aimed at encouraging our scholars to get involved and serve their communities.

In Support of Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition
The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition (DBCC) is a 501(c)(3) staffed by a combined number of 25 full-time and part-time employees and has an office serving citizens in each of the three counties in Delaware – New Castle, Kent, and Sussex.
DBCC has developed and implemented programs tailored to the unique needs of different populations, including young women with breast cancer, African-American women, Latinas, lesbians, and women with disabilities. DBCC has trained healthcare providers who implement culturally competent care and has conducted many educational sessions for the general public in partnership with corporate and community organizations.
In addition, DBCC has referred and navigated thousands of uninsured adults for free and low-cost cancer screenings and has removed barriers to cancer screenings and treatment by providing interpretation, transportation, and support services.
As a member of the National Breast Cancer Coalition, represented on its board of directors, DBCC has worked to support the national organization’s efforts to research the causes of breast cancer and pursue optimal treatments and cures.
The vision of the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition is to create a caring community where barriers to breast cancer screenings are removed and all persons at risk served by DBCC have access to quality care and treatment. DBCC will ensure each individual diagnosed receives resources to become a thriving survivor, armed with the knowledge and support needed to conquer this disease.
