Registration 9:00a.m.-10:45 a.m.Everyone must fill out a waiver and receive a wristband even if they are pre-registered. Please arrive with plenty of time to check-in or register.Walk 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.After party and band begins 12:00 p.m.Awards 12:30 p.m.After party ends 3:00 p.m.Planning to walk? Read the steps below for registration instructions.
1.) Click "Register to Walk or Join a Team."2.) If you are not creating a fundraising page, scroll down to see the registration options. Otherwise, insert your fundraising information in the top section.3.) Fill in your personal information and choose the "walk participant" option (for adults and children 13+).4.) Submit payment.For adults and children 13+, to participate in the walk, you must purchase a "walk participant" registration. If you have not made a payment, your registration is not complete. Personal or team fundraising efforts DO NOT cover event registration.Walk in honor or memory of someone in your life who has been impacted by breast cancer. Participants are invited to be creative with team names and attire—wear PINK! Awards are given for the highest individual fundraiser, highest team fundraiser, best individual costume, best team costume, best dog costume, and largest team! There are no minimum donation amounts needed to participate. Get creative and have fun!
This year's event will be held at Homestead Gardens in Smyrna, DE, and will feature family-friendly activities, music, games, food, and more! "We are taking this year's event to the lush grounds of Homestead Gardens in Smyrna, DE, voted Delaware's Best Garden Center. You'll weave through thousands of seasonal plants and activities guaranteed to bring out the green monster in you," said Hayley Ross, Marketing Manager at Homestead Gardens.
All proceeds from the 2023 Monster Mile for a Cause benefit DBCC’s programs that increase breast cancer awareness, promote the importance of early detection, provide access to mammograms, and provide support and resources to men and women in our local community who are newly diagnosed or facing recurrence of breast cancer.Homestead Gardens will offer walk participants a $10 off $50 coupon for purchases made at Homestead Gardens during the event. Additionally, during the month of October, Homestead Gardens offers customers an option to round up their total to support DBCC.

Karla FleshmanTransitions Delaware is a private clinical practice providing services to the LGBTQ+ community, family, and our allies by way of individual and couples+ therapy (ages 4 to 104). The practice also provides culturally responsible and appropriate training to commercial and not for profit businesses, as well as school districts and religious communities focused on best practices in serving LGBTQ+ folx. LGBTQ+ folx are at higher risk for certain health challenges including breast cancer for persons of all gender identities. The owner of Transitions Delaware is, herself, an almost three year breast cancer survivor who has found the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition a wonderful supportive organization.
